Bic “Permanent”
This project started with the instruction “create a visual metaphor.”
To me, that meant “sell something without showing the product in the ad,” so I started sketching.
It always starts with a mind map, word and picture associations, and lots of doodling:

The thought process:
> Pen
> School desk tattoos?
> Impermanent when you need it to be
> For when you’re not 100% sure
Permanent, but not too permanent
From that idea, I had a vision for what I wanted to final product to be. I hand-drew the “tattoo” and imported it into photoshop. I find that the simplest ideas and executions can often be the strongest, so I try to bring that lesson into all of my work.
