Helly Hansen – 50/50

Helly Hansen “50/50”

This project was centred around collaboration, and was intended to simulate a real work environment. We were paired up with photography students in a different program and tasked with working together to build a campaign around equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Message: Helly Hansen is fighting for gender equality in blue collar jobs (currently dominated by 80% men).

This project really taught me the value of being a part of the photography process. Students are often at the mercy of whatever they can find on sites like Pexels or Unsplash, but being able to come up with your own idea and execute it exactly as you see it in your head is truly the best way to work. It required real-time problem solving, time management, and collaboration. It also showed me that getting things right on the photo-shoot saves a LOT of time in Photoshop.
