A little bit about Alison…

A Toronto-based graphic designer, I’m a graduate from Humber College’s Advertising & Graphic Design program, with a background in English literature. I love bringing wordplay into my work. I has a positive attitude and love sinking my teeth into new challenges.

Work Experience

Product & Brand Storyteller
CANADIAN TIRE – July to November 2023

• Created a cache of content for one of CT’s brands for its eventual launch online
• Created short form videos, infographics, animated gifs, web banners, carousel posts, and other forms of digital content for use on social media and on CT’s website
• Designed a 20+ page safety manual template for use in Canadian Tire’s product development labs
• Assisted as-needed on various design-related projects

Marketing/Admin Assistant
VERNACARE CANADA – 2017 to Present (Contract)

• Through meticulous data entry, significantly lowered the number of return-to-senders on promotional mailers
• Completed a variety of tasks as required, including data entry, photo editing, and organization of literature and catalogue folders

Design Experience

Student projects

ART ZEBRA (Link) – Winter 2022

• Created a brand from scratch based on an original negative space logo
• Project included mock-ups of products tying into Art Zebra branding (including tote bags, a van, and signage)

ATHENS ON THE GO – Winter 2022

• Designed travel app prototype for the city of Athens in Adobe XD with a focus on user safety and exploration
• Became very comfortable with linking artboards and troubleshooting with XD
• Created a cohesive and intuitive user experience
